Application of optimal control for wind integrated power system

<div align="center"><span>This paper presents the modeling and application of an optimal controller for frequency tie-line power stability a two-area interconnected hydro-thermal plant having tandem compound non-reheat turbines integrated with wind generation doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) in each area. The system is using AC tie-lines. designed was implemented dynamic responses three model states were obtained considering 1% load fluctuation one areas. control strategy presented this depends on formulating error value finding feedback gains corresponding to state system, which are easily attainable as outputs. analysis undertaken verified by calculating performance index value, closed ring real imaginary values, gains, through graphical simulations models under investigation. output enhanced when DFIG-based installed area combined superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) unit thyristor phase shifter (TCPS).</span></div>
